Stunning Day of the Dead Party Decor
On November 1 and 2, families come together to visit graves and build altars brimming with candles, sugar skulls, marigolds, food, beverages and clothes for the deceased.
The Day of the Dead celebration, which evokes both happiness and sorrow, also happens to be one of our favorite Mexican holidays!
To celebrate, we're doing a roundup of Stunning Party Decorations to inspire you! Are you ready???
First up, is Inspired by This chic and rustic version that's sure to impress the most sophisticated guest.
Up next is Pop by Yaz's sexy and glamorous version. She shares:
"Halloween is typically associated with carving Jack o’ Lanterns out of pumpkins, decorating with a ghoulish theme, and going trick or treating door to door while wearing costumes. Instead of the traditional route, I wanted to introduce a holiday that many Americans are unfamiliar with, that happens to take place during the same time period. Inspired by el Dia de los Muertos below is a detailed look at my decor and ideas. This is a nod to my Latinos as this holiday is becoming more mainstream and now more with the help of pop… more glamorous!"
And last but not the least, at Rock N Roll Bride takes this a step further by featuring a wedding inspired by this holiday!
“Jay is really into skulls and I love his heritage and bright colors so we really wanted the wedding to be a good mix of both of us”, said the bride. “So many couples tend to embrace muted, classic colors for their weddings but we did not! We also wanted to nod to our family unity. That was really important. The venue was incredibly personal as it was a family home"
